Partnership

Be part of shaping Sussex’s evidence base.

SIU partners are the organisations that believe in the value of an independent, shared evidence base for Sussex — and want to be part of building it.

Partnership is not a sponsorship arrangement. It is a working relationship. Partners help SIU understand what the most important questions are, and in return they get advance access to the intelligence before it is publicly released — so they can act on it first.

Commissioning

Commission SIU research.

Organisations can commission bespoke SIU research — a sector deep dive, a policy briefing, a specific dataset or a piece of qualitative research designed for your needs.

Commissioned research is conducted independently. SIU produces findings regardless of what they say — which is precisely what makes commissioned SIU research credible to the audiences that matter. If you want evidence that stands up to scrutiny, it has to be independent.

What can be commissioned

  • Sector deep dives — in-depth analysis of a specific sector or theme
  • Policy briefings — evidence-led documents designed for distribution to government
  • Local data analysis — district or borough-level data synthesis
  • Belonging and community intelligence — qualitative research in partnership with community organisations
  • Bespoke indicator development — working with you to define and track metrics specific to your context
Recent commissioned work
  • Belonging pilot in partnership with Enjoolata — East Sussex and Brighton
  • Sussex Growth Index — in development
  • Devolution readiness briefing — in development
